4th LSKB Reunion Potluck

Well, tonight I host a potluck at our apartment. I invited all the girls from my hall last year as a sort of 4th LSKB Reunion. I knew that most of them weren’t gonna come (there’s about 30 of ’em) just because they wouldn’t even go to my events when we were there. But a few of the girls I expected to show up are, and that is very uplifting. It’s a very good feeling to know that I connected with a lot of them on such a personal level that they no longer see me as their RA (or maybe not just and RA), but also as a friend. A few people that wanted to come won’t be able to because of conflicting plans, and I will miss them. Hopefully this turns out good and we may have another one next quarter. We’ll see. . . .

Time is starting to run out. Midterms are already here. I am taking a midterm the same day that school starts at Cabrillo. That just sucks. Put things in perspective for me. That is also Heyzen’s birthday (yup, Feb 4). I have three midterms that week, one for Invertebrate Zoology, a lab practical for that class, and a CMPE 003 midterm which will be tedious to study for because most of that is just rote memorization. That leaves just one midterm for the following week. I also have to start studying for my bio comps. Those are on my little sister’s birthday (Xaviera – Feb 23). Oh whatever. At least next week we have lab out in the tide pools in Natural Bridges, so from the Long Marine Lab we’ll trek down and hike around in the rocks and pools – rain or shine!. And since it is during our regularly scheduled lab time, it is mandatory. That’s not bad though, it sounds like fun. The one thing I hope doesn’t happen though is rain. They said it might rain that day. If I get all wet over there it’s gonna suck because I have class right after that, so I don’t get back ’til around 8:30PM!

OH, and Holly is coming by today! For the last time before she goes out to New Zealand! :o( *sigh* I miss her. I’m gonna miss her more now that she is gonna be completely out of reach for me. She’s gonna have a blast though, I know it. New Zealand will love her! :o)
