Been a long time

So yeah, it’s been a long time. I keep swearing to myself that I will come on here and write. Write about my trip to Guadalajara, about the devil child at the program that I am working at, and about just all the stuff that has been happening to me – but I don’t. Even now, all I am going to give is a brief summary of the past events, and later, I swear I will return to my trip (there I go again, swearing. . .).

So anyway, I start my last class next Monday (MWF) at UCLA. It is going to be a pain in the butt to get over there. I am taking the bus and Metro, and it will take almost two hours. So yeah. That sucks.

Juan and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary (as boyfriend/girlfriend) at the begining of the month. We went to Medieval Times: Dinner and Tournament. We got to root for the red knight – and he won! Woo-hoo! That was a lot of fun.

I went to Guadalajara for two weeks. To be continued. . .

We came back and it was Juan’s birthday. We celebrated with a BBQ at his house. One of the funnest things that night was trying out his new hammock. We all took turns getting on it and then (Alex started this) two people would start swinging it around like crazy yelling “Toro! El Torito!!” while you are just bouncing and swinging in the hammock going nuts. It was hilarious to watch and crazy to experience. Ay Alex. . .

Last week, Raul surprised me with a call asking for a place to stay for the night. He was driving down to go and check out Cal Poly Pomona.

Last Saturday we went to the Museum of Natural History over in Exposition Park. “La Chusma” all went (minus Memo). Heyzen also brought over a couple friends from god-knows where. They were nice, but clingy to each other. When we were introduced, they didn’t let go of their hands to shake our hands. It was weird. Aside from that, they were really quiet and to themselves the whole time. I also think that Heyzen didn’t do a very good job of trying to integrate them with our group, so they just kinda stuck out. He said that they are really shy and quiet. He says that they will open up. I hope so.

This week is the end of the “Future Scientists of America” Program that I am working on. We have our kids’ poetry recital this Friday. So, we’re a little busy doing that.

And then Eddie springs a new one on me. He tells me that his Academic Decathlon Team over at Jordan HS voted me to be the keynote speaker at their open house this Friday night. It doesn’t conflict with the poetry thing cuz that’s in the morning. But dang! Talk about making me nervous and all! And to make things worse, I got sick yesterday!! It is draining my energy. I can’t wait for Saturday already.

Oh no. Wait. The sooner the weekend comes, the sooner I start class. :\

Shoot me.
