Wow. Why haven’t I updated this in so long? Last weekend, as in not the one that just passed but the one before, was so busy! OK, I’ll try to recap. Right now I don’t remember Friday, so I’ll move to Saturday. On Saturday I went early in the morning to the Aquarium for my first day of Volunteer training – yay!! It was so cool, but it was also a very very long day. The people there are great and the program seems to be very promising. I talked to the lady in charge (Margaret – who is very nice by the way) about the possibilities of moving into different departments and eventually being paid staff. She didn’t seem to mind hearing me out and trying to help me with stuff. She is definately someone I want to keep talking to. I also met this volunteer diver there and I asked her some questions about diving and getting certified here. She is also a dive instructor and she says that most of the dive volunteers are instructors as well. That just goes to show you the level of people they have there. The diving program there is one of the most prestigious in the country. You have to have at least Rescue Diving certification under your belt and 50 logged dives. Yeah, wow! I hear it is really hard to get in and that there is some sort of waiting list as well – to give them your free time!! Geez!

After that SaBi picked me up and dropped me off at home so that Juan could pick me up so that we could go to Lynette’s surprise birthday dinner with her family at the chinese food buffet (mmhhm!). I was really worried about going because we have no money but apparently, her dad paid for everything. After that we tried to hit up a movie because Lynette had like 6 tix to AMC theaters that they gave her, but we managed to miss all the good movies. The funny thing is that when we parked, there was this car out in the aisle. Stupid person drives a stick shift and didn’t set the parking brake so the car rolled out and bumped into a car (no damage). We just stood there in disbelief, hoping that we could see the look on the stupid person’s face when she got there (everything in the car pointed to it being an asian college girl). For a second we wanted to push it back into its spot, but then we quickly realized that it would just roll back. Eventually, someone called the police. The cop showed up and told us that he would leave them where they were and just write notes for both cars. We stood around a little more (I know, we’re nosey! Heyzen and Javier were the ones that were really wanting to stay) hoping to catch one of the drivers, but no luck. We left, missed the movie, came back and saw that the cop decided to roll the car back and put some rocks. And we evilly read the notes he left. We were dissapointed to read that he didn’t call her a moron. Oh well. It was funny at the time.

Then we went to go play pool. It was fun, I won a few games. I played Javier and Heyzen a little cut throat – and won! Woo hoo! That’s right Heyzen, that’s what you get for trying to team up against me! 😛

Then on Sunday we went to the Magic Castle. Wow! That was loads of fun, but I will have to recap that later because right now I have an interview to go to. Yep, Toys ‘R Us. Oh well, it’s not the best thing in the world, but it is a toy store. 😀
