First, a recap of the most recent events:
Last Friday, we did an impromptu chusma gathering at Gage Bowl. We thought at first that only Juan and me would go, but then we found out that other people wanted to do stuff, and soon enough it was also majorxero, amontoya, Heyzen, Lynette, and as a super surprise, even Christopher who just happened to call amontoya while she was on her way over. Since Christopher livew just a round the corner from the place, unlike the rest of us, he showed up. It was fun, and surprising that so many of us got together on such short notice. Our bowling though, sucked majorly. The scores were as follows:
Memo (majorxero): 97/81
Juan 164/157/149 (he lost his mojo)
Me: 82/78
Heyzen: 115/66
Lynette: 62/64
Alex (lj user=”amontoya”>): 94
Christopher: 76
As you can see, we did terribly, but we had fun. Also, some people played more games than others. amontoya got a nifty new 3.2 Megapixel Canon Elph. For the night it was our new toy. 😀
Next night we went to Universal City Walk. Chuy drove his big blue van and picked us all up. The same people showed up this time, with two great additions: Chuy (of course) and Anothony (lj user=”av_mags”>. Let me just say one thing about the ride, CHUY DRIVES LIKE A MAD MAN!
We got there and we had a nice mellow time trying to figure out what to do and stuff. We ended up not doing anything other than eating. Oh well. It was a nice walk and I dressed up (wearing a skirt is dressing up for me ok!). Thanks to the wonderful compliments from Juan and amontoya and av_mags, with extra special thanks to the latter because that was even more super duper unexpected. 🙂
So yeah, we roamed around, everyone ate something different (with so many places to eat, it was bound to happen). We ended up at Sparky’s and Juan bought me two little wind up toys, a shark and a turtle that are for underwater fun. They’re so cute! He bought himself a little wind up toy robot that looks really cute and really cool at the same time.
On Sunday, Juan came over and we decided to go out for dinner and then go to Best Buy. The catch was that I was driving for the night. So I checked to make sure that my driver’s permit was in my purse and we left. I did ok for the night, we ate some really good food, and got to Best Buy too late. Since the parking lot was empty, Juan proposed that we use a couple of carts and set up some parallel parking excercises. I agreed. It was cool, I didn’t do as bad as I expected (I wasn’t great, but not bad). Juan kept hammering on me because of the turn signals. I kept telling him that I did use them and he told me that I wasn’t using them as much as I should be. That when you turn they turn off and that I need to keep on eye on that because I may still need to have them on and stuff. I kept getting frustrated about that because that was his biggest thing for the night. Finally when we left I told him that I was using them and that if he didn’t see them it was because his van’s lights weren’t working. I told him to get out of the van and check, but it was more in jest than anything.
Yesterday, he called and apologized. He switched a messed up fuse.
A million points for Anitza!! Juan, two. 😛
