So today I found out that the party tomorrow is for staff only. That sucks. I was so dissapointed and dreaded having to call Juan and tell him that he couldn’t come along. I feel so bad about that now.

Stress ensues and Juan tells me to basically get over it – and I will.

Today, I helped out with feeding the animals in Lorikeet Forest, which was really cool. Gave Albert and Foster (our Dusky Padamelons) their food, and a Hibiscus each as a nice treat (they love eating those flowers!). Also gave nuts and berries to the Prevost’s Squirrels which was a lot of fun because they are not shy at all! They totally jump all over me and come and check me out to see who the hell I am and to see how much food I am bringing them. Very cute squirrels they are. But of course, my favorite is still Rungus, our Binturong, and although I didn’t get to help with his training today, I did have him target a couple of times so that I could reward him with raspberries. That was totally the highlight of the day.

Tomorrow is my volunteer day. I talked to Erik and offered to help him with our shark baby display, and he was happy to accept. So tomorrow not only will I care for the big guys, but their babies too.
