Guess what? I got a $20 tip from a tour I did today. Dude! That was cool and weird at the same time. I told the guy that we don’t take tips and I tried giving him back his money, but he was insistent and was beggining to get a little insulted at the fact I wouldn’t take his money, so I took it. Other tour guides have gotten tips before, but this was a first for me.
Another thing that made that an outstanding tour was the fact that when they showed up (it was only three people by the way), they asked me if I spoke Spanish, and from then on, I did the whole damn tour in Spanish. I got trumped at words like “Protein Skimmer” or “Foam Fractionator”, but they understood what I meant. Dude, it felt awesome, because my spanish has seriously deteriorated the past years, but doing this tour made me feel very accomplished. The guy even spoke more Spanglish than me and when he would ask me stuff in english, I would answer back in spanish because I was on a roll and didn’t want to screw it up.
Last night, Letty, Richard, Juan and I, went to dinner and a movie. We saw Kill Bill, which you have to see right now. It was like old Kung Fu and Anime all rolled into a beautiful cinematic story.
