Wow. Am I tired…

But I shall update because it is still relatively early and I haven’t done so in a while. Last weekend, we went to Lynette’s to celebrate her bday. For some reason, Memo wasn’t picking up his phone or getting his messages, so he didn’t end up going to the thing. It was ok. Very mellow. Ate and listened to way too much Jorge Lopez. I mean, dude is funny, but by the end of it you are almost forcing yourself to laugh because it’s been too much. At that point, I also gave Alex her bday present.

Juan and I had a fabulous day on Monday. He called in sick for the first time – ever. And he wasn’t sick. It was adorable, he was all worried and stuff, but he did it anyway, just so he could spend the day with me since I had that day off. We ended up going shopping, and we spent an insane amount of money on clothes this weekend. It felt so good to just go out and buy what we wanted without worrying about money. Basically, what it came down to was this: We have money in the bank. We have expenses, like Lida’s wedding, bday gifts, etc, that we need to spend money for. If I am saving all my money for those things, and not spending any on myself, it’s just not fair, especially when I can afford to do so. I mean, dude, we aren’t rollin’, but for some time now, I haven’t been scratching the bottom of my bank account, because of all the penny-pinching, and it felt good to let loose for a bit. We had so much fun.

Went out to Canyon Country on Wednesday to this cute school. It was pre-k through 8th grade, and get this, there were 200 kids – total! Amazing, I know. Very nice school, it was a lot of fun doing outreach over there. Check the picture blog for a nice pic, and also for updates that I keep posting up that I don’t do on here. What am I talking about? Email me and I’ll send you the link if you missed it.

Looks like we’re going to the Classic this sat. Should be fun.

Next week, we’re going to the Friends/Family VIP Night at the new Cinemark theater at The Pike. My friend is a supervisor over there and got me some tickets. The theater officially opens on Friday, so we get to try it out. Sounds like a nice theater, so I am excited about it, and it is walking distance from the aquarium.

Also, later this month there is going to be a lecturer on this arctic shark called the Greenland Shark, so I got tickets for that too.

Must. lay. down.
