Been having a good ol time….
Aside from working my butt off, and being so tired, I am doing spiffy.
Juan and I have taken care of many many things this week, and I have been blessed enough to have seen him most of the week. I’ve been spoiled these past two weeks worth of holidays by having him around. One thing we worked on was a work-out schedule. Something that we’ve talked about for years and years and years but never took to fruition. We aren’t gonna go mad with workouts or anything, it’ll be more like “Let’s dedicate this hour to just walking around the park and riding our bikes”. We’re doing that twice a week starting Tuesday. When we don’t see each other, we’ll do personal workouts, like stretches and weights etc. The wedding is the biggest motivation in terms of time limit right now, but like I said, it’s something that we’ve wanted to do for a long time, but always come up with excuses for. The real motivation is a permanent change in lifestyles. There are so many things we always talk about doing, but never do, and this year we will.
We’ve also been talking a lot about wedding plans, and people are always asking us about them, but they never ask us anything that we have planned, so it always seems like we haven’t done anything. At this stage, most of it is preliminary, working out the outline of what we want to happen so that then, people can help us out with it. I’ve always voiced my opinions on the whole padrino thing. Like how I don’t like a huge list of padrinos, how I don’t like that couples (or quinceañeras, etc) ask for padrinos for everything. Well, planning this wedding, I have come to the realization that many people just automatically want to help out sometimes, and that not always is there a need to ask for that help. That is a huge difference. La Tia Juanita already signed up for catering (she’s a caterer herself), I know Chuy wants to DJ and Moreno would love to have his reggae band play as well, kaptainsnot‘s Madrina said that she would like to buy us our wedding cake, and so on. I don’t have a problem with that at all, but sometimes, it’s hard to make a distinction, where the lines start to blur.
As far as the wedding party goes, we’ve also worked that out, and I think we have finalized our plans with regards to that. I only hope that everyone is ok with it.
And I would like to finish off by saying that I had the most wonderful time last week with you guys when we went out for dinner and then to Starbucks to play Cranium. That was awesome fun! We even learned a few things, like, what was it? Craptacular? lol- Not really, but something like that, and it meant being hung-over. I haven’t had that much fun playing a board game, we’ll, ever! (maybe Candyland when I was 4, but that’s different).
And today? Hopefully Juan and I will be able to go around and look for churches that we can have our ceremony at.
