teh interweb sux

Well, at work anyway. So yesterday, our IT guys is flipping out about the new worm/virus that is out right now. Cool. Today, some router/server/whatever in LA shuts down or something and the entire area has limited access to some sites. Can’t get on several things.

And earlier today I made an @$$ of myself when I tried to update the meta tags on Immeritus and broke the damn thing. People freaked, but none as much as I, and then I fixed it with a simple file restoral. *sigh*

Can’t do stuff on our own site because apparently, our homepage is one of the sites that we cannot access right now, can’t even ftp to it, and because we have this checkin/checkout system in dreamweaver (got it this week – yay!) that checks against the server to see if anyone else checked out the file that you want to work on, well, can’t work on anything. So here I am, trying to play online, but encountering lame connections, when they even connect.

Yep, heard about the worm – just after I’d finished the Windows updates on all 82 computers at work, sooooooo, guess what I got to do all over again? I suppose I shouldn’t complain, at least it was summat to do…
Still, someone ought to make Bill do ALL of the updates personally. Maybe he’d get it right after that. Or, maybe he’d be too old by the time he got done to screw things up again.
