Oh man,

RADCLIFFE WANTS POTTER TO DIE

He says, “I would like Harry to die at the end of that seventh book. I think it would be a very good ending.

“I wouldn’t want it to be sentimental. I don’t like sentimental ends to books or films. I think that would undermine the darkness the rest of the books have.”

This is quite possibly the most amusing news to come out of the HP Fandom for quite sometime. So in the mean time, I will proudly wave the Danny flag and squee at a picture or two, for I am an adoring fan right now. I mean, come on, when was the last time we had news that was this interesting? lol

How could Harry Potter dying NOT be sentimental???

I think he’s just tired of playing Harry…he just wants to be sure that there won’t be a Harry Potter THE SEQUEL

  I just think that he is a teenage boy that wants some carnage. And like Sarah also said in her lj, the whole idea of a Hamlet ending sounds pretty appealing. I find it hilarious that he thought that, let alone SAID that to the media knowing that his raving lunatic fangirls would hear this.

      Oh come, come. Poor Dan would just like to know that his fans love him for himself and not because he is Harry Potter. He’s only 16, he can’t spend the next 60 years playing Harry Potter. No, I think there should be a large gap before they do, “Harry Potter Does Mid-Life Crisis” and “Harry Potter – the Geriatric Years”. Considering that there should be a number of years between the two, he’ll need his fans for his other work.

        Oh yes! And we’d be armed this time. We could all show up with our Harry Potter Walking canes (they double as wands you know) ready to hex anyone who got in our way or tried to jump the queue. We wouldn’t want anyone to beat us to the store selling HP knick knacks for the elderly like: HP diapers for those of advaced age, Percy Weasly’s Parsnip and Prune Juice for those with permanent constipation (would work as a remedy for U-No-Poo too), and Old Age Omnoculars so that we could watch the movie without missing anything – myopic and virtually blind settings included.

        Oh my… I just had a mental image of Dan Radcliffe as a William Shatner look-alike. It was funny, but rather frightening, too. No wonder he wants Harry to end up dead.
