T minus 99 days and counting…

Dude, I dunno what I wanna do for my bday this year. I want to see Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo which is touring here right around my birthday. But there is also this touring concert called Video Games Live. I heard about it way too late when it launched here at the Hollywood Bowl in 2005 (and it was on a Wednesday or something). I regretted not going to it ever since. Now it will be coming around again and is tied with the e For All Expo. Looking around at the Expo’s website, I totally want to go to that. Juan and I are not hardcore gamers by any feat of the imagination, but we do love games. I think we would have a blast there. It is in late October, so it really wouldn’t be what we do for my birthday. It would be more like a bday present. But I need to register before Sept 1 if I want to cash in on the VIP status (which I totally would).

To hell with Cirque. I love you guys, I’ve seen your Vegas shows, and I know that you will tour again. But I haven’t seen Video Games Live and I really really want to!! Just, I mean, listen to this:

ETA: I just downloaded and watched the five minute trailer for VGL and OMG. I can’t stand the excitement, I am going to burst. I NEED to GO.

I feel like a bonehead for even posting this, but OF COURSE Jim wants to go! lol It was here (well, maybe not ‘it’, but something similar) I *think* last year, but we couldn’t go because of some conflict. If you do go, I can’t wait to hear about it!

It was probably the same tour. It has been going for almost two years around the world now. They will be in Detroit on 7/6! I dunno just how far that is from you, but you guys may want to try that out. Man, I gotta make an icon for the geek!Jim love. lol

There’s been quite a lot of publicity for VGL over here – it looks fantastic! The last concert I went to that had a great mix of vide and live music was the Queensryche Operation Mindcrime tour and that goes back a few centuries. I’d say get your registration in asap! (But then you probably already have.)

I haven’t yet seeing as it would be $180 for both Juan and I to go to the Expo and the concert. I have to work up to it! That, and it will take some vacation too!
