Woe is me…

Spike TV, why do you fail me so? You know you are supposed to make me happy showing me my weekly dose of Star Trek every Monday afternoon. Why oh why did you decide to run a Rocky marathon today?!

Perhaps they were getting in the mood of the holiday by showing the Italian Stallion. As an Italian, I’m happy they didn’t perpetuate the Italian stereotype by airing a marathon of the “Godfather” movies, but instead went with the Italian stereotype of the scrappy-amalucco-from-the-wrong-side-o’-the-tracks working-for-the-mob turned boxer. It’s just more feel-good. Hey, look at it this way, it could have been Tony Danza and all the “Who’s the Boss” you could handle.

But srsly. Looking forward to a heapin’ hunk o’ Picard and Worf and not getting it is really disappointing. Sorry.

  Oh, and that is another thing that Spike did, they stopped showing TNG! First they got rid of DS9, and now TNG. Now they show three episodes of Voyager every day. If they dump Voyager and start showing Enterprise I will never watch Spike TV again!

    The holiday in question was Columbus Day, celebrating his “discovery” of America, or Indiginous People’s Day, honoring the “discovered” (and, sadly, ousted.)
    
    I don’t have cable so I never get to see those shows anymore. *sniff*

      Oh right! Columbus Day! Yeah, I am SO not a mom. That is the kind of holiday that moms and school kids know about but the rest of the world seems to forget about (unless you want to protest about it).

*pats* I wish I could get a weekly fix of Star Trek. But alas, it’s Montel, Rachel Ray, Oprah and Doctor Phil five days a week.

Grandma hated it even when she’d let dad watch it and he was dying for crying out loud.

I love that it’s been weeks since you’ve posted this, yet I remember this day oh so clearly. I rolled around groaning for ten minutes, or until the cats got furry and hopped sideways from me.
