Job hunting

So I applied to this CHOC Laboratory Technician position that sounded great. Growing cultures, using photographic equipment, and photoshop. I found them through careerbuilder.com. I applied on 01/17 (a Friday). I called in to their HR dept. to confirm they got my application on Monday 1/20. They didn’t get it. I resend it, this time through their site. It goes through on Tuesday, 1/21. I called today to see what was going on (they told me it would be 2-3 weeks before I heard anything). I talked to HR again, asked for someone specific to talk to. They gave me Melody’s number. I called, left a message. Nice lady calls me back and tells me the application was in pending mode – which seemed to me like it didn’t catch anyone’s attention and that it was being piled up with all the other loser resumes. She asked me about qualifications and I told her about my classroom lab experience and photoshop stuff as well. She said she would forward the application to the next person unless she was told to do otherwise.

She called back, position has been filled. Either that, or she’s letting me know she’s not sending my resume on.

Freakin’ ey. I am so tired of this.
