Things seem to be really looking up at work. The schedules come out every month, and today we finally got the one for November. It looks like I will be working no less than four days a week, sometimes five. This is good. At the end of the month, I will be doing an overnight, which I am really excited about. It’ll be a family themed one, called “Lifestyles of the Fish and Famous”. Cheesy, yes, but that is what they pay for. There are six different types of overnights, this being one of them, but the more popular one is the career overnight which focuses on kids that want to pursue a career in biology. I am also booked to do more outreach which I am also very excited about.

Presentation shifts will change, and it looks like for the better. *crosses fingers*

I am tired.

I am almost done making Lida’s invites. Don’t worry Chusma, she counted you in her numbers, so you will be getting one soon. Also updated the moblog, so don’t forget to check that.

Can’t wait for Finding Nemo to come out next week. Aside from the flick, which is great because of it’s humor (and because of the wonderful characterizations of these fish! they’re right on!), I want to check out the interviews to see if the aquarium really does come out. Supposedly they filmed a bunch of the interviews in our galleries.

The highlight of my week was when I was interpreting at Blue Cavern, and I talked to this couple about the habitat and the different animals there.
The woman turned to me and asked, “Are you a biologist?”.
“Yes”, I smiled.
