Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for my dad. He finished his radiation therapy last week, and even though his throat is hurting and he can hardly eat sometimes, he is doing a whole lot better. I think that the simple prospect of him not having to do that (hopefully ever) again has really lifted his spirits, and he hopes that by the end of this week, he will be able to do things more normally. =D

This was a rather wonderful weekend. Friday night, I had that overnight, and because it was a small one, it was very enjoyable. For those that wondered, yes, we have dinner, then we do some cool/education/fun activities, and then sleep in one of the galleries. In the morning, we wake up and have a cereal breakfast, usually with the sea lions in the tunnel (with acrylic separating us from them 😉 ), and then everyone goes home. It’s a lot of fun, and we have many many themes, this one was more lax, since it was a family overnight and not a school one.

So this means that I got out of work at 8am on Saturday morning, so I had what is pretty much a four day weekend! I normally have Sun/Mon off, but because of President’s Day, I also got Tues (my holiday gets bumped over a day). Anyway, it made for some nice times.

Saturday night, we went to my sister’s art show. I will post pics later, but let me just say that the pieces she chose and painted for this were really great, and the space was also pretty nice. A couple of my co-workers also showed up, and that was great because they got to see my talented little sis (awwww).

On Sunday, we woke up really late after getting to sleep at about 3am. We were going to pick up the girls (two of my sisters – the youngest ones) and go out for dinner, and eventually come to our place and play videogames all night and take them back home on Monday. Well, we didn’t know HRB had her holiday postponed by her school, so we took them out to dinner, but were going to take her home afterward.

Well, we ate a wonderful meal at Souplantation, and then went to Target (Best Buy was close *woe*) to buy youngest sis a memory card and game for her PS2 – her bday present. Well, we not only ended up buying her that, but we also got (for me) a Gamecube, extra controllers (wireless), and a couple of games. Totally unexpected, and omg so much fun! We felt really bad that HRB had to go home, alas, we could do nothing. So the rest of us played video games (Mario Party 7 – yay!) until at least 3 in the morning. And then we woke up to play some more. lol

Now, that may not seem like a very fun weekend, but it totally was. I had a great time with my sisters, Juan, and the rest of my family. It was just that, plain old fun. =D

I have lost my train of thought because I was updating Immeritus. Sorry for those of you that freaked out at the Maintenance Mode message, but trust me, it was for the best. Have you checked out the forums?! Dude. Totally new and revamped! You may encounter little problems that happen with a switch of software, like having to resubscribe to threads, and having to update your bookmarks if you had the forums hardlinked anywhere. If you notice anything flat-out not working, let me know. Hope you like!
