Wall-E
I’ve been trying to think of ways to spice up my life. I’m 35 years old, happily married with two kids… I’m willing to pay $350 up front for you services as an arch enemy over the next six months… Evil laugh preferred… –sfo craigslist
Oh Molly, tell me that it is at least tempting! Hahahahaha!
Anyway, this weekend, we watched Wall-E. It was as beautiful, touching, and funny as everyone says it is. Even with high expectations, it didn’t disappoint. I was bummed that people left as the credits started to roll since there was some really nice animation going on that is basically an epilogue. Even after that when the credits went black, there was some really cute pixel animation going on.
There are people complaining about stuff in the movie, that it is too preachy about environmentalism. I didn’t see that. If anything, it made it look a little easy to fix the problems we have today (I understand, it’s a cartoon). Then there are other people complaining that it demonizes and makes fat people the source of all our problems. I dunno what movie they were watching, but seriously, the one that I saw had fat people in it, yes. It also showed how their way-too-easy lifetstyle made generation after generation of naive human beings with no need to walk, therefor they became fat. Cause and effect, people. Had you stayed for the credits, you might have seen a change.
Anyway, it is totally worth the hype and I think everyone should go out and watch it.
