Finally, I have found people who like Sirius as much as me, I'm home!!

Okay, now that the giggly, school girl thing is out, let me state my reasons for why I like sirius. There are many; he was a "bad boy" in school, always causing problems and playing tricks on the poor unsuspecting students, mainly one - Snape.

Also, I have always been fasinated with someone who owned a flying motercycle, ever since the first book I have wondered how someone could own something so weird like that, but when I was introduced to him in the third book, I immediatly knew why.

Also, he's one of the Mauarders. He took it upon himself, along with his friends to make a map of Hogwarts and find every secret in the castle. That's an accomplishment, one a normal, "good boy" would never do. Though, Remus was considered a "good boy", so I can't really say anything there.

I'll list my reasons too, as there are so many and i need to marshall them... I must say what a fine forum this is!

I love Sirius Black because:

He's devilishly handsome

He's playful

He's a prankster

His smile can make you forgive him for anything

He has gorgeous hair that he doesn't put a lot of effort into but is so sweet

He can be the perfect guy for ANY girl at all. Picture your perfect, dark-haired rebel, and there he is. He's anything you want him to.

He has a motorbike

He's loyal

He knows the dark side of life

He rebelled against his controlling and evil parents even though they were rich and could've provided for him.

He loves me.

Here are some of my reasons.

He's intelligent, talented, witty, has that boyish quality, loyal, and loads of Trouble.

I love Sirius for his loyalty for Harry, the Order and, before everyone else, James Potter. Even in death James remains Sirius's best friend, person that Sirius loves and respects above all others.

Sirius has managed to remain charming as he was when he was young, his spirit was not diminished even by long staying at Azkaban. When he is happy, happiness beams out of him and makes everyone else as happy as he is.

Man that managed to earn Dumbledores love, respect and trust deserves mine as well. Love that people have for Sirius tells enough about him.

Sirius is honest, brave and capable man and those qualities lead him to his death. Like Dumbledore said, Sirius is not the kind of man who would sit back somewhere safe and let others fight his battles.

The thing I love about Sirius the most is not the person that he is (or at least he was at the time of his death) but the person he could have been had he escaped his tragic faith. I can see Sirius's life after Voldemorts fall quite clearly. In fact, the rason I am a member of his fan club lies in life he would have led.

Why I like Sirius Black (in no particular order) –
1. He is beautiful. (Described as “once-handsome” in the book, but I’m extrapolating from that.) Perhaps it is shallow to like someone for being good-looking, but as long as it’s not the only reason, it can’t hurt, can it?
2. He is highly intelligent. (He and James were “the best in the school at everything they did” and that means everything, not just playing Quidditch and bullying Snape.)
3. He is kind and thoughtful. Not all the time, no, but sometimes, like when he bothered to write the note to allow Harry to visit Hogsmeade, and when he gave Ron the little owl. And when he sat up all night with Harry and the Weasleys, worrying about Arthur.
4. He is completely loyal, to his friends and to the fight against Voldemort. Even twelve years of wrongful imprisonment are not enough to turn him away from the Light.
5. He has enormous strength of mind and character. (He endured imprisonment in conditions which drove other people mad, and came out only “slightly unbalanced” according to the author.)
6. He isn’t interested in girls (“I’m bored” – enough said).
7. He has a sense of humour (God rest ye merry Hippogriffs?)
8. Crookshanks loves him, and Crookshanks is an astute creature whose judgement may be trusted.

When i first read the third book, I remember thinking the dog was scary and when I read about Sirius (Harry actually meeting him) I thought he was a scary guy. I really started to like him after they started walking away from the tree with Peter and he asked Harry to live with him. He seemed like he was really shy and it was kinda cute. Harry would have family which was cool and he seemed like a cool guy plus I loved Lupin and Lupin thought he was a good guy so how could he not have been. Then after that I just thought he was one of the coolest and most interesting characters. i just feel in love with him.

Looking at my previous post, I don't feel I did justice to my feelings for Sirius. So I'm writing this to try to make up for that.

Well, like many, I love Sirius because he is a bad boy. I have always had a weakness for bad boys. I love a prankster. Okay, so sending Snape to face a werewolf was going a bit too far, but who could resist Sirius? Frankly the only reason I think it was a bad thing is Sirius would have got in trouble.

Do I even have to say one of the reasons I love Sirius is because he is so handsome? Of course, looks don't count for much, but they do help! The image of Sirius I have in my mind is the perfect guy. I don't think any guy in 'real' life could compare to him. But at least I still have my thoughts of Sirius to keep me happy. This may sound sad to some, but that's really all I need.

Sirius is a loyal, loving person. He still mourns James. He regarded him as a brother. He really cares for Harry, and not just because he is James' son. He worries about him, he advises him, he was willing to risk being recaptured just to check that Harry was all right. He won't have anyone (well, Snape) talk badly about him. I think the strength of his love is a wonderful quality.

Sirius may be a little immature, but is that really such a bad thing? We can all be immature. Sirius is rather violent tempered, but it is worse to let people walk all over you and take advantage of you. Sirius is rebellious. He leaves home and renounces his family, even though, as said before, if he accepted his parents' ways he would live in wealth and comfort. He is strong. he does not back away. I think that too is a wonderful quality.

Sirius is intelligent. He is not just your average pretty brainless bad boy. He was clever enough to become an animagus at fifteen. He participated in the creation of the Marauders' Map, a work of genius that not only has every detail of Hogwarts on it, but shows where everyone in it is at any given time. Also the nifty way it insults Snape is brillant.

I am convinced there was no girl in Sirius' life in the time before he went to Azkaban. How could any girl so lucky to be Sirius' girlfriend just let him go to Azkaban. If it were me, I would do everything in my power to prevent it. I serve time in Azkaban in the knowledge that I got him out, or at least tried my hardest to do it.

Sirius isn't perfect, but he's so damn close it's scary! Anyone who disagrees may answer to me. Well, he's my perfect guy anyway. If he were real, he'd be the only guy I'd ever want.

Sirius Black reminds me of that one guy in high school that us, girls, followed around and drooled over everyday. The way he wore his hair and the look in his eyes as he glanced in your direction. The way he laughed at jokes and walked down the hallway. The way he leaned back in his chair to ask a question just so you would notice him.

Oh yes, can you tell that this boy went to my school? *sighs again*

The only difference was that Sirius Black was a smart wizard. This guy, he was only smart at getting into trouble, but it got him the attention he wanted and now he is a rock star!

I like Sirius because he is a good friend to James. He is funny, compasionate, brave and adventurous. I also feel very sorry for him because he was locked up for 13 years only to be on the run for nearly 3 years before his death. I cried so much when he died. *tears* I can't believe J.K. would kill him off! I hate Voldemort for killing everyone close to Harry.

I like him because I kind of sympathize with him.
I think we are somewhat alike in loneliness and rebelliousness. And of his qualities, I like his recklessness and loyalty.

Well, that ca get very long. I'll do my best to shorten it up.

Sirius is the upmost kind of guy how calls for my attention in all sorts of ways. Lets be a bit 'shallow' and begin talking about his looks:

*First of all, his handsome grey staring eyes. I imagine how stunning they must be. Now over those eyes, picture his black straight shinny hair falling, as he strides on two feet of a chair, holding a quill on his right strong male hand... Picture this same hand going through his hair... his fingers sliding on it... Now, he and his flying motobike. His body on the bike must've been a sight!

*Secondly, there is no other man on the wizarding ou muggle world than can be more attractive to a woman that he is. Sirius can be tough when it's needed. He can be funny, thoughful, caring... Imagine him as father. It would have been a blast! I would kill to have his as a husband. Even a brother...

And that's why I love Sirius. I gess it summoned very well.

I think it's impossible to not like Sirius. I mean, even Snape likes him. You can tell Snivelly's warm for Padfoot's form.

Seriously [xP], Sirius is just so... likeable. Not even delving into the endless abyss that are his physical features:

Sirius is loyal. He would die for his friends, and, even though he had commitment issues, that could all have been cured with the Right Woman. ;] -hinthint- This is further personified because of his Animagus form.

Sirius's name is quite dashing, and looking at his name alone can get one -- non-obsessed, normal human being -- interested. For example. Thinking objectively, if one door said BOB SMITH and the other said SIRIUS BLACK which one would you pick? Going on the names alone, Sirius is loads more interesting.

Hanging around Sirus would be, simply put, fun. He seems like the kind of guy who knows how to have great time, and he's caring and perceptive enough to know when enough's enough. And I'd love to hang aorund a guy who's comebacks are genuinely funny.

Sirius has no qualms about showing his feminine side. Because I see him that way. In layman's terms, he's hot enough to not have to worry about that sort of thing. So he probably wouldn't have a problem going bra-shopping with me if I asked.

Finally, because no Sirius-loving post is complete with out it, his physical appearance: he's got grey, fathomless eyes. You don't even have to look at the rest of his well-structred, chiseled features to get lost in those pools of hotness. Sirius is the perfect embodiement of the phrase "tall, dark and hansome."

This has all probably been mentioned already. But I couldn't resist pouring out some intense Sirius-appreciation myself. x]

Why do I love Sirius? Why don't I? Okay, let's start from the top:

He has always risked everything for Harry.

He's the perfect godfather.

He's overcome a lot in his life--horrible family, Azkaban, and is still the coolest character in the book.

Sirius + Leather = makes me happy!

He's mischevious--everyone has a soft-spot for trouble-makers!

He's loyal and his Animgus form is dog, which is just TOO cool.

He's not perfect. He's a character in the book that has good qualities, and bad qualities, but he manages to still be a good person despite them.

Oh, yeah and I think his name is absoultly melodic--Sirius Black--what more can I say?

I like Sirius because:

- he is brave
- he is loyal
- he would go through hell and back to save all the people he loves
- he has flying motorbike
- he is flawed and imperfect like any human being
- he is teh sexy
- he is smart, cool and brilliant but he never shows it into your face
- his animagus form is a big, drooly dog
- he never lets other control his life
- he is always walking his own path
- even being down, he is capable to make his own decisions
- because when the Order failed to protect Harry, he made the right decision.
- even whent this decision cost him his life
- he is the best godfather ever
- he is capable to face even the worst case scenario
- he neither puts his head into the sand or runs away from a problem
- except when this problem is his own which he can temporarily solve with a bottle of Firewhisky
- which is a common behavior of a perfectly normal man
- his sense of humor is undestroyable
- Buksbeak loves him
- Crookshank too
- because his life was hell, his death badly written so he deserves a lot of hot cocoa and fangirl loving
- because the swooning, drooling, panties-throwing crowd of fangirls is never big enough.
